Any offer of accommodation by us is subject to availability at the time of confirmation by us.
We normally require payment of a deposit on making your booking. However, whether or not a deposit is paid, your accommodation booking, when confirmed, is a legally binding contract with us.
Any booking must be cancelled at least 7 days in advance, in which case the deposit will be refunded. Otherwise, because we only have a few rooms, we regret that it is necessary to impose a cancellation charge. In the event of a cancellation on less than 7 days notice, whilst we will make every effort to re-let the room, if the accommodation remains unlet, or in the event of a guest not turning up, we reserve the right to retain any deposit paid and to call for a further payment from you, up to the full cost, to compensate us for our loss
Arrival times are normally between 5pm and 7 pm in the evening. Other times are subject to prior arrangement. Check out time is 10.30am on the day of departure but there is some flexibility with later check outs by prior arrangement.
When you book accommodation with us, you accept responsibility for any damage to property or persons caused by you or any member of your party. Guests are expected to act responsibly and to take care of their own safety and belongings. Whilst we take all reasonable care, we are not responsible for loss or damage to any personal goods or belongings of, or for accidents or injuries sustained by you or any member of your party. Cost of replacement of any keys not returned on departure will be charged for.
Guest are expected to use their rooms and the other facilities with respect for the other guests as well as the proprietors. We reserve the right to terminate the accommodation arrangements without notice in the event of any unacceptable behaviour on the part of any guest and to seek compensation for any damage caused or any cancellation by other guests by reason of any such behaviour.
Guests must take special care when parking to ensure they do not cause damage to any other vehicles as well as making sure that the vehicle is properly locked and any valuable items are locked away. We cannot accept liability for damage to, or theft from, a guest's vehicle.
Field Cottage is a non smoking house - both the bedrooms and the public areas. We regret that pets are not allowed at the property.
Breakfast is served from 7am to 9-15 am.
Payment of the account is by cheque travellers' cheque or cash. We regret that we do not accept credit cards.
We hope you will enjoy your stay, but, if you have any complaints, please let Sue know so we can put right any mistakes as quickly as possible.
Whilst we always try to avoid changes and cancellations, we must reserve the right to do so. However, in practice, we will endeavour only to cancel your confirmed booking where you have failed to meet our booking conditions, or as a result of illness or circumstances beyond our control. No compensation can be paid and no liability accepted beyond offering a full refund of any deposit paid.
